A Thought From A Gigi

~Nothing prepares you for the loss of a little-one.  Nothing prepares you to walk with your child as she grieves the loss of her little boy.  There is not a "pain" pill you can take or a drink you can drink that takes the pain of loss away.  The wound never fully heals. Those of us who have experienced loss learn to manage the pain we feel. It's a journey. When your desire to comfort and support, please remember the following:

 

*Loosing a little-one is not contagious. You won't catch it.

* If you don't know what to say to the family, say, "I don't know what to say."

* Healing is not on a schedule.

Future Fathers

Moms tend to receive a great deal of attention during and after their pregnancy. Dads are often left on the sidelines, and may feel they're not as important; however, Dads play a very important role during and after the pregnancy. 

Research shows, "Dads who play an active role during pregnancy lower moms’ stress levels. And lower stress means a healthier environment for your growing baby.

 

Dads who are involved during pregnancy are more likely to remain involved once the baby is born—with great result,

The Ezra Nolan Foundation has established the Future Fathers program to assist and support new fathers as they transition into parenthood. This program is comprised of a series of classes, mentorship, and retreats that aim to equip new fathers with the tools to embrace fatherhood while providing a support system for the days ahead.
